Looking back, I think the only thing I didn’t cover was knitting, and I’ll be picking that back up pretty soon. I will also be adding a couple of new things, because tonight has proven to be very cathartic for me. I got alot of things out. I was glad for doing it, thank you for bearing with me and reading through everything.

My next post will be about antiapathy.org, knitting, and my 101 in 1001. I look forward to seeing you then. Don’t be afraid to comment or leave me messages.

49 posts, 24 hours… and x amount words (21,154!!!) Blogathon2007 is now over.

Thank you very much for sponsoring me

I leave you with Chameleon Boy, by Blue October, the first song that just really hit me and resonated in a way that changed my life. This was the song that made me cry (even more than Hate Me)

Chameleon Boy - Blue October

i changed my color for you
i shed my coat with caution
i lack the beauty you display
see here there are the bruises
and some were self-inflicted
and some showed up along the way
so i nod my head
im ready for the world to see
the secret i kept here inside the man you thought id be
slip into coma calm
the coma where i calm myself down
here comes excuses why i let you down

stand by for another breakdown
sound off the alarm
is this the chameleon boy i swore i wouldnt become
chameleon boy
chameleon boy

so now weve come upon the hardest thing ive ever done
its telling you that im a mess
what sort of mess i mean
is self-destructive gasoline
the kind that strips you of your best
and while i play insteadthe way that most would end up dead
you sleep alone at home and wish that i was in our bed
with this im telling you
my color changes back to blue
how do i ask you this
will you help me through

stand by for another breakdown
sound off the alarm
is this the chameleon boy i swore i wouldnt become
stand by for another breakdown
sound off the alarm
is this the chameleon boy i swore i wouldnt become
chameleon boy
chameleon boy

i try to think of all the people i look up to
or growing up who would i be
now the twisted part
whered all my idols end up
they all passed away
passed away

stand by
its chameleon boy
stand by
its chameleon boy
Chameleon Boy
I’m chameleon boy…

Penultimate is one of Barry’s favorite words I think. This is my penultimate post. When earlier I mentioned how John Mayer sucks and deserves to be pounded, hard, for his so-called anti-war song, Waiting on the World to Change. And said I’d be looking into starting an anti-apathy campaign. Apathy is something that is more pervasive and worse than depression I think. Some of us just slip into it, it’s become a societal norm. The snarking, sarcastic quips we love to see, and I love to collect. For instance this avatar:

Freaking awesome… but at the same time, totally promoting apathy.

So, I found www.antiapathy.org and when I am not knocked out flat asleep on my ass, I will be checking it out more.

In closing, before I return to say goodbye… (for the night)

The Beautiful South, with Rotterdam

And the women tug their hair
Like theyre trying to prove it wont fall out
And all the men are gargoyles
Dipped long in irish stout

The whole place is pickled
The people are pickles for sure
And no-one knows if theyve done more here
Than they ever would do in a jar

This could be rotterdam or anywhere
Liverpool or rome
cause rotterdam is anywhere
Anywhere alone
Anywhere alone

And everyone is blonde
And everyone is beautiful
And when blondes and beautiful are multiple
They become so dull and dutiful

And when faced with dull and dutiful
They fire red warning flares
Battle-khaki personality
With red underwear

This could be rotterdam or anywhere
Liverpool or rome
cause rotterdam is anywhere
Anywhere alone
Anywhere alone

The whole place is pickled

Megan loves wearing her father’s clothing. She loves sleeping in his star wars tee shirts. I have had to take them back from her more than once or twice. LOL. For Christmas she got a giant dollhouse that I really want to help her decorate and do stuff with and we moved the dresser Barry had been using into her room as a stand. It’s gorgeous, imported from Italy in the mid sixties, real wood, the whole nine yards. It also weighs about the same as I do. hahaha.

So anyways, she was telling me she found a pair of her daddy’s shorts and that she suspected they were his from when he played five a side soccer as a kid. I told her they were probably boxer shorts.

“Daddy used to be a boxer?!?” she was incredulous. It was adorable.

Thank you all so very much for coming along the way with me, reading my posts and checking out my blog. I have one post left to go….

Writing and books and movies. A book I’d love to see as a movie? So You Want to Be A Wizard by Diane Duane.

A short story? Slit by Richard Laymon. This is probably one of my all time favorite stories by Laymon. It’s about a student librarian who has a cutting fetish. He goes to extreme lengths to keep from cutting the girl he has fallen for. The story is weird and quirky, definitely not up to everybody’s tastes. Eventually he can’t keep his need to cut away from her… and the end is splendid. Amazing. I love it. I would love to buy the rights to this story, write the screenplay, and produce the short of it, I really would.

Speaking of screenplays and movies, being on the set of Roadkill and actively participating in it alongside my husband (the director) was so intensely amazing and fun. I had soo much fun doing it and can’t wait until we do it again, hopefully with the zombie CYOD (choose your own death) interactive dvd, or Savage, which is so amazing and indicative of his astonishing … well, I gush.

I guess i’ll try to explain really quick about my internet connection since it made my last post late.

I Job requires me to travel, so right now I am in a place called Sunnyvale near to San Fransisco, while Angela is back home near LA. The hotel that i am staying at does not have a free internet connection, most do now but for some reason this one doesn’t… we can’t really afford for me to be paying $10 a day just to check my e-mail or post a blog, so I am only online for a very limited time. BUT the connection has been acting funny, I logged in yesterday at about 7, so my connection should have failed at about 7 tonight… which it did… but a few minutes later suddenly I was connected again!?! Now there might be an explanation… at 11:07 this morning my internet failed and i had to agree to pay the fee again to re-connect… so maybe that has something to do with it… maybe it like time delayed or something? it held my reconnect until now…? If I go to the front desk will there be another charge on my bill from now, even though I didn’t do it now? i don’t know. Strange post. Sorry.

Your regular host should be returning shortly! Thank you for reading!

Sorry this is late, i thought i got disconnected from the internet.
Now continuing the topic of books and movies, I generally prefer to film my own stories, from time to time I might consider filming someone else’s script. There are however a few books that I would consider turning into movies… they are Island and Midnight’s lair by Richard Laymon and at least one of “The Owl” books by Bob Forward.

Now I know that many of you probably aren’t film makers, but are there any books that you think would make good movies?

Something that i don’t really like, but is related to this topic i think… and that is Re-making movies. I do not see the point in re-making movies, most of the time people want to re-make good movies. Why? To me it just seems like people want to cash in on someone else’s good work. I think maybe the perfect example of a pointless re-make was the 1998 movie “Psycho”. I LOVE the original 1960, Alfred Hitchcock CLASSIC. It was a very good movie that was extremely true to the book on which it was based. (I think it was based on the book and not visa-versa.) But anyway… This is one of only two movies that I would re-make and I would do it for a REASON, the 1998 re-make didn’t seem to have a reason… and my reason is that I would re-make it so that I could make a sequel that is true to the Psycho 2 book. the Psycho 2 movie was also excellent but it was nothing like the Psycho 2 book.

What movies would you remake?

ok i’ll be your proxy diva for this post -
I think that probably two of the biggest things that my wife and I share is a love of both Books and Movies, we have both wanted to be writers at one time or another, whether it be poetry, short fiction, non-fiction, novels ect… Angela has taken to blogging recently, she is generally better at it then me because i forget about mine for days if not weeks at a time.

Over the last few years (8 now I think) my writing has focussed around writing scripts for films that I want to make. Usually I just work on one thing at a time… meaning that I would work on one script then try to produce it and then move onto the next. But over the last year or so I have been writing a lot more trying to build up a body of scripts so that I can pick and choose what I want to work on next. So far I have 3 or 4 short scripts, one feature length finished and another I just started on. There is also a really big project that I have been trying to get out of my head and onto paper for most of the last year now… but it is like a stubborn tick or something, it just won’t let go. I think that maybe it seems a little too big right now… but I don’t think it is going to get any smaller, it is my most epic story idea to date.

So, a question for everyone… other then blog posts… what do you write?

there. I have had a lovely afternoon reading Me and Mr Darcy. I really enjoyed it.
I already said it to him, but I want to say it here, thank you hon for helping me out and helping me through this. I really appreciate it.

The phrase or statement, “I really appreciate it,” is something I don’t hear alot. Imagine my surprise when my seven year old informed me this morning that she would, “If you’d call my friend’s nana and see if I could visit her, I would really appreciate it.” I was blown away. Aren’t I a lucky mom? I’m starting to get worried because she’s been swimming for a few hours with our neighbor. So if she’s not home relatively soon, I am going to go get her.

Man, I love my family.
